This mosque is a mosque that is rich in history. The architecture itself had begun to be built during the time of Sultan Iskandar Muda in 1612. At that time, the Baiturrahman Mosque still functioned as an imperial mosque with only thatched roofs typical of Acehnese architecture. The mosque building was also a stronghold when the Dutch attacked. After going through various restorations and renovations, now the Baiturrahman Mosque has 7 domes and 8 minarets with a capacity of up to 30,000 worshippers.
