Taken from Sanskrit language which means alphabet, Aksara started the business as bookstore retailer. But in 2002, Aksara was known as Aksara Bookstore and Aksara Music.

In 2004, Aksara transformed into Aksara Books, Music, Gift, and Homewares. Aksara creates passionate, dynamic, creative, and service-oriented ambience. They also have children books collections. On music section, you can find music merchandises, designer radios, and audio equipment such as headphone or speaker.

Aksara is also known to be the place to hunt unique stuff for gifts, such as table decorations or wall ornaments. There are also greeting cards and wrapping papers.

You can look for imported stuff too which you can’t find in any other store, from porcelain tableware to LOMO camera, Instax Polaroid, and rare CD collections from indie band. It will be so much fun finding rare stuff here!
