INACRAFT 2016 From Smart Village to Global Market
If you like to collect handicrafts, don’t miss the INACRAFT 2016 or The 18th Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair 2016 which held from April 20-24, 2016, at Jakarta Convention Center. In this year, this international handicraft exhibition has a theme of one of the Western Indonesia region, which is West Sumatra with “The Splendour of Minangkabau” theme. At INACRAFT 2016, you can shop some Indonesian traditional fabrics such as batik, songket, ulos, and tapis, to garment and hijab products, accessories and jewelry, bags, sandals, home décor, and others. Handicrafts of wooden toys and furniture can also be found on some corners.
Hosted by Indonesian Association of Handicraft Exporters and Producers together with PT Mediatama Binakreasi, this exhibition aims to improve the quality of Indonesian handicrafts to welcome ASEAN economic community (AEC). Because of that, the “From Smart Village to Global Market” tagline is used for INACRAFT 2016 since Indonesian handicraft products has been helping Indonesia’s economic growth becomes one of the contributors of on foreign exchange for non-oil exports.
