For the 11th time, exhibition of Gelar Batik Nusantara will be held, again. This year, Gelar Batik Nusantara will be held at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, May 8 – 12. Put new theme, “Lestari tak Terbatas”, Batik Foundation as the organizer of Gelar Batik Nusantara 2019 will introduce and promote batik (traditional textile from Java using amazing method of colour dyeing) also handcrafts from Sumatra.

The entire time, batik known as traditional textile originating from Java. Moreover, during development of batik, it came to many regions in Indonesia including Sumatra.

Sumatra itself has distinguish style and motif, yet this year, Gelar Batik Nusantara made motif of Batang hari pauh from Jambi as their identities, the whole theme of the event.
