Instagram's new feature lets users leave notes directly in the feed or Reels section. Have you tried it yet?

Yup! Instagram has introduced a new feature called Notes. This feature is now available in the feed and Reels sections, adding a more dynamic touch to the platform. Notes appear at the top of the inbox or above the profile photo. With this update, users can share notes about posts from friends or brands, react in real-time, and see others' reactions when scrolling through Notes.

Notes shared in the feed or Reels section are visible to friends, followers, or people categorized as "Close Friends." According to Meta, the company that owns Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, a post with a Note is more likely to be seen. Notes in the inbox and profile are visible for 24 hours, while those on feed posts and Reels are visible for three days and are only visible within the application, not in a web browser. However, Notes can be deleted at any time. If you do not wish to use the Note feature, it can be disabled in the settings for feed posts and Reels.
To use the new Notes feature in your feed or Reels, follow these steps:
1. Tap the airplane/share icon.
2. Tap the "Note" icon at the bottom left.
3. Select "Close Friends," "followers you follow back," or "followers you follow back."
4. Post the Note you want to share, and you're all set to await your friends' reactions or replies. Good luck!
